
Bob Eugene “Gene” Snyder, age 75, of Roland, Arkansas passed away on April 5, 2026. He was born in DeWitt, Arkansas on August 6, 1950 to his parents Bob and Alice Snyder.
Gene was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Through his many years of dedication to provide for his wife, Patricia, his true calling as a proud provider was when he and his loving wife adopted their first daughter, Sara, followed later by the adoption of their second daughter, Emily. In the years that followed, he became the world’s best grandfather to Sara’s son, Koen, and Emily’s daughter, Georgia. He was known for his hobbies far and wide such as fishing, flying, and race car driving. He worked as a cross-country long hauler and auctioneer. He once got 2nd place in a national auctioneer competition. No one knew him better for his giant heart than his family.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Alice Snyder; second parents James and Rachel Nawlin; brother Bill Snyder; sister Sandi Leyva; and his nephew Robert Snyder.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Patty Snyder; two daughters Sara Snyder and Emily Newberry (Chris); two grandchildren Koen Scott and Georgia Grace; two siblings David Snyder (Marci) and Annette Taylor (Gary); two best friends Lance Fraize and Tony Cathey; brother-in-law Herb Leyva; along with a host of beloved nieces and nephews, other extended family and his loyal and constant furry companion Ariel.
