Avis Rae Martel Daughdrill Romine, 87, passed away peacefully on April 28, Surrounded by the love of her family.

Avis shared 67 beautiful years of marriage with the love of her life, Don Romine. Together they built a life centered on love, devotion, and family. She was a proud and loving mother to her son, Tony Romine (Phyllis) of Cabot.

She was a cherished grandmother to Mary Loukota (John) of Cabot and Lauren Musich (Justin) of Cabot, and a devoted great-grandmother to Abby, Hayden, Ian, Hollis, and Gavin, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Avis had a deep love for her family, which was evident in everything she did. She will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the care she gave so freely to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings; and her beloved uncle, Haywood, who held a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Don Romine; her son, Tony Romine; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jack.

Avis’s life was a testament to love, family, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
