
Phillip Louis Mealler, age 77, of Jacksonville graduated to his heavenly home on April 27, 2026. Phillip was born on March 27, 1949 in Little Rock, AR to Lena Belle Rice and Herbert Louis Mealler.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert Smith, two sisters Odessa Martin and Mary Parker.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Linda, of 33 years; children Shawn Mealler, Lesha Mealler (Gary Hepp) of Morgan, Shannon (Summer) Mealler, Gradi (Richard) Collier of Jacksonville, Christ (Jason) Prielipp, Alecia (Chris) Davenport of Cabot, Angus Murray of Cleveland, Robert (Sandie) Murray of Lonoke, Daniella Mermelstein of New Port Richey, FL; one sister Betty Turner of San Antonio, TX; and a host of other family and friends.
Phillip was a man after God’s heart and served the Lord for 55 years in Prison Ministry and as Pastor of Covered in the Blood Ministries. He also served as a member and Chaplain of the New Beginnings Motorcycle Ministry. He loved people from all walks of life and never met a stranger. He wanted all to know God and His great love and was gonna get Jesus in the conversation. By trade, he was a truck driver. Phillip served 2 ½ tours in the Vietnam War as a Marine. He loved spending time with his family above all but enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the birds, squirrels, and God’s creation. He was a spice to life and will be so greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 1:00pm with the funeral service starting at 2:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Center Ridge.
Brother Allen Sutterfield and Wesley Howell will be officiating.
