Lorie Lynn Kight was born on 08/11/1960 in Fresno, CA to Jerrel and Joyce Kight. She married Denis Logsdon on 08/13/1978 in Carmel, CA, became a dental hygienist, and later moved to Arkansas in 1990. Lorie and Denis had 2 children, Kyle and Travis. Denis passed away in 2010 and Lorie later moved to Harrison, AR. Lorie was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Kight in 2016, and her father Jerrel Kight in 2020. Lorie has one living sister, Tammie Upton, who resides in Harrison, AR.
After multiple recent hospitalizations in Harrison, Lorie was transferred to UAMS in Little Rock, AR where she passed away peacefully, and both sons whom she loved deeply, at her side. Lorie leaves behind 2 married sons and grandchildren.
Kyle Logsdon and wife Wendy of Benton, AR have 2 children: Gabby and Carson. Gabby and Carson have many good memories with their “Grannie,” who loved them immensely and doted on them quite often. Gabby specifically remembers her time as “Grannie’s girl, or Honey girl.”
Travis Logsdon and his wife Nicole of Euharlee, GA have 1 child, Ben who is 7 months old. Although Ben was held by his Grannie for a short time, he laughed and giggled with love and will see pictures and hear stories of his “Grannie” as he grows.
Lorie also leaves behind her beloved niece, Joy Neuman and her son, Jacob. Joy cared deeply for Lorie and they grew closer together while living in Harrison. Jacob remembers Lorie as his Grannie who took him and loved him.
Lorie loved her family, she enjoyed the spring time and cared for flowers and birds. Her favorite color was blue, but she was fond of turquoise. This was noted in the colors of her home and her colorful wardrobe. Lorie would often dress for the season! Lorie enjoyed painting birdhouses and gifting these to others. Her back yard is filled with birdhouses, and she had fond memories of painting them with a story that belonged to each one. She enjoyed her neighbors, was proud of her home, loved her family, and enjoyed simple things in life.
Lorie had an appointment with our Lord and Savior on April 26, 2026.
I Thessalonians 4:13-14
“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.”
