Kathryn Jo Edwards, born November 15, 1955, left earthside on May 9, 2026 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, AR after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

She was born to mother Wanda Wilkinson. She has 8 brothers and sisters.

She was the best housewife of 27 years after spending many years as a cook and baker in a variety of places. Known affectionately as “Nanny” to everyone who met her, she spent many years going on trips and spending quality time with her daughter and grandchildren.

Kathryn was not an active member of a church, but accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior during her stay at CHI St. Vincent.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her mother Wanda Wilkinson and brother Billy Wilkinson.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Edwards, daughter Kristie Schweitzer, son Kenny Edwards, sisters Patricia Farrell, Linda Gates, Deborah Robles, Elizabeth Brown (John), and brothers Richard Berg (Alice), Frank Wilkinson (Duree) and John Wilkinson.

Left to cherish her memories are her grandchildren Alyssa Schweitzer (Mitchell), Maegan Price (Kadin), Jenna Schweitzer (Riley), Aurora and Logan Edwards.

A Family-Hosted Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 16, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Fairgrounds Building in Malvern, AR.

The family has requested that anyone who wants to visit feel free to drop in and share your favorite memories of Kathryn as they grieve the loss of their Wife, Mother, and Nanny.
