Shirley Jean Davis, age 86, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026. She was born on September 8, 1939, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, JB and Gladys Latham; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Cynthia Latham, and Carl and Joyce McCain; and her nephews, Dewayne McCain, Ricky McCain, Donnie McCain, and David McCain.

She is survived by her loving children, Robert Davis of Cabot, Arkansas, Linda Wallace (Michael) of Cabot, Arkansas, and James Davis of Jacksonville, Arkansas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Heather and Josh Avelar, Rion Moody, Meagan Wallace, and Brooke Wallace.

Shirley was a proud great-grandmother to Ami Avelar, Lia Avelar, Ari Avelar, Abel Avelar, Haillie Jo Avelar, Everett Moody, Abe Moody, and Charlotte Moody.

Shirley was one of the most caring and loving people anyone could know. She worked in the janitorial business, at Club Products/Regal Ware, and spent the last 24 years working at Walmart in Jacksonville, Arkansas. She loved everything Elvis and adored her dog, Piper.

A visitation will be held at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, on June 19, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

    I lived on the same street with Shirley over 25 years and did her plumbing work in her home. She was a good lady I will miss her smile.
