Joy Dawn Jones, age 59, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on May 25, 2026. She was born on June 23, 1966 in Longmont, Colorado to Daryl and Linda (Brecheen) McVey.

Joy is preceded in death by her cousin DeAnn McVey Reynolds.

She is survived by her son Ian Jones and his partner Beth of Desert Hot Springs, CA; son Zachary Jones of Little Rock, AR; daughter Rachael Thompson and her husband Zackary of Denver, CO; two grandchildren Aurora Abbott and Alder Thompson; her father and stepmother Daryl and Cindy McVey; her mother Linda McVey; siblings Mark McVey and his wife Lisa of Houston, TX, Blake McVey and his wife Tiffany of Memphis, TN, and Melanie Hayer and her wife Sherri of Oklahoma City, OK; along with seven nieces and nephews and five great-nieces and nephews.

Joy loved her pets and will be reunited with her beloved best friend, Rocko. She was an artist and a poet. She loved music and was a devoted fan of Hua Chenyu.
