Melva Marie Hearst Meyer, age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday afternoon June 21, 2026.

She was born on February 1, 1935 in St. Louis Missouri to the late Charles and Nora (Hatten) Hearst.

Melva was preceded in death by her husband Eugene J. Meyer of 64 years; her brother William Hearst and wife Marilyn; and her daughter Ellen Raine.

She is survived by her brother James Hearst and his wife Shirley.  She is also survived by her five children: Lynn Shonhart, Dianne Meyer, Jann Davis and her husband Tom, Ruth Hackett and her husband Bruce, Eugene A. Meyer and his wife Jennifer.  As well as thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren, two nieces and three nephews.
