
Gretchen Klamm, 43 of Perry, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on June 30, 2026. Born on February 14, 1983, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Gretchen lived a life marked by kindness, creativity, faith, and devotion to those she loved.
She is survived by; her beloved children, John and Abby; her mother, Polly Klamm; her mother, Candice Chadwick; her sister, Lillie Upton and husband Billy Upton; her brother, Patrick Klamm; and 4 Nieces & 1 Nephew. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Gretchen was preceded in death by her father, Robert Klamm Jr.; her grandfather, Robert Klamm; her grandmothers, Norma Klamm and Priscilla Simmons; her Granny Micheal; and her cousin, Joshua Hillis.
A woman of the Pentecostal faith, Gretchen found strength and comfort in her relationship with God. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed crocheting, painting, and drawing. Above all, she loved her family deeply. Her greatest joy was John and Abby, whom she loved beyond measure.
The poem “I’m Free” beautifully reflects the faith and peace Gretchen carried throughout her life:
“Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
Lift up your heart and smile with me,
God wanted me now… He set me free.”
Gretchen’s family loved her dearly, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
