Charles Michael “Mike” Reed, 72, of Sherwood, AR, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 26, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. Mike was born on August 12, 1953, in North Little Rock, to Charles and Carolyn Reed. Mike spent almost 15 years in the Army National Guard, serving at Camp Robinson. He worked in many different areas, including his time at the National Guard Professional Education Center.
Mike’s true passion was cars. While still quite young, Mike learned everything he could about cars by watching his father and uncles work on their cars and then race. Once older, Mike worked on his own car and was hard to turn down a race.
Mike was a long time, loyal member of North Hills Baptist Church. He was truly grateful for Bro. Jim Ward and all the members of NHBC, for the continued outpouring of support.
Mike was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Carolyn; love of his life, his wife, Diane; daughter, Brittney; brother, Tony; along with his uncles.
He is survived by sons Michael, Mark, Thomas, Tyler; daughter Jana; brother, John; grandchildren: McKenzie, Shelby and Jacob and their mother, Angie. Mike will be deeply missed by Wheatley Gray, who was a true companion to him, his caregiver, and partner in raising Thomas and Tyler. Along with family surviving Mike is his lifelong friend, David Lackey.
Visitation will be held at North Hills Baptist Church on July 9th, at 1:00pm and funeral following at 2:00pm.
