Gerald (Jerry) Lee Robertson, age 72, of Cabot, AR passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026. He was born August 14, 1953 in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Jerry graduated in 1971 from Hartman High School in Hartman, Arkansas, and from the College of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Sciences. He served 6 years in the US Navy as an Aviation Fire Control Technician. After college he spent his remaining career of 30 years with GE Healthcare as a Medical Electronics Technician and retired in 2013.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Luke James Robertson and Rosa Lea Nelson Robertson; grandparents, Felix Price Robertson and Edna Hopkins Robertson: and beloved brother, James Price Robertson.
Jerry was survived by his wife and the love of his life for more than 51 years, Virginia Carrol Barnes Robertson; one daughter, Rosa Nichole Robertson Carper and husband Brent of Ward, Arkansas; one grandson, Cache Robertson Carper of Ward, Arkansas; one step-son, David Byron Bly, II of Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Kaye Robertson and Gwin Ellison both of Ozark, Arkansas; best friend and ‘other brother’, Gary Robertson of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was an extraordinary man who lived life at full speed. He loved his family intensely, including them in every aspect of his adventures. His lifelong love of dogs, ‘his buddies’, was known by all who knew him. He was passionate about his interests and hobbies as well as being a dedicated seeker of formal and informal education. Jerry had a dry, subtle humor and often pulled unexpected pranks on family and friends, loving the surprised laughter that occurred. He was passionate about ‘Hotgrass’ style of Bluegrass music, fishing and boating, gun sports, traveling, SCUBA, archery, photography and motorcycles. He was avid about nature and being outdoors. He was also generous and compassionate to those in unfortunate circumstances, often giving assistance anonymously and asking for nothing in return. Jerry was living proof of 1st Corinthians chapter 13 verse 4, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”
A private interment at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock and a Celebration of Life for all friends and family will be scheduled at a later date.

My best friend and Harley brother has gone to receive the rest he deserves. I will miss him. His kindness, generosity and especially his humor were what I admired most about him.
