It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John (Jay) Hankins, who passed away on July 29, 2026 at the age of 55.
Born on May 12, 1971 in Ft. Worth, TX. Jay had a deep love for his family. Jay was a fork lift operator for Caterpillar.
Jay’s kids and grandchildren were his world. He dearly loved spending time with them. When Jay was younger he enjoyed duck hunting at Yellow Creek with his Dad and Grandfather and torturing his little sister.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Ronnie and Ruth Hankins.
He is survived by two children: Kolby Hankins of Cabot, AR, Lexie Hankins of Cabot, AR; a sister Julie Harrington (James) of Titusville, FL; two grandchildren: Waylon Hankins and Kinsley Hankins; six nieces and nephews: Brittany Barnett (Andrew), Colton Hathcock, Rae Lewis (Dillon), Brook Wibbelsman (Shane), Drake Harrington and Harlie Harrington; and 12 great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of life service will be held Monday, August 3, 2026 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Prescott, AR. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Jay’s life.
Though deeply missed, Jay’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Condolences to the family of Jay. Prayers for his children as I know they are devastated. We made Dave Felder & Associates rock back in the day. He was one of the coworkers that I knew I could count on to show up and do the job right.
We grew apart as our lives changed but I always considered him a true friend.

Jay was a great guy with a big big heart! I worked in the sales office and our jobs connected at Meyer’s/Southern Bakeries with him as a scheduler. Sometimes the challenges were fun but could be very stressful as well! He was a team player when it came to making the impossible work out. I’m sad that he has passed so young. I remember how mucu he loved his family and they are in my prayers. Rest in peace, John.
