Sonya Zomaya
April 5, 1988 – July 29, 2026
Sonya Zomaya, a beloved daughter, sister, and cherished member of her church community, passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 38. Born on April 5, 1988, Sonya lived a life defined by faith, kindness, and the simple joys that brought her comfort and happiness.
Sonya found deep peace in her relationship with God. She loved attending church, where she especially treasured taking communion—a moment that filled her with calm, devotion, and a sense of closeness to the Lord. Her faith was quiet but unwavering, and it shaped the gentle way she moved through the world.
She also found joy in the everyday things she loved. Watching Walker
Texas Ranger was one of her favorite pastimes, a source of excitement and comfort. Some of her happiest moments were spent shopping with her father, Aprim Zomaya, sharing simple routines that became treasured memories.
After the passing of her mother, Samera Zomaya, nine years ago, Sonya and her dad faced life side by side. Their bond grew even stronger, built on love, devotion, and the comfort of each other’s presence. Sonya also shared a close and loving relationship with her brother, John Zomaya, who carries her memory with deep affection.
Sonya will be remembered for her warm smile, her gentle spirit, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence brightened the lives of those around her, and her memory will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that her light endures—in the stories shared, the traditions she loved, and the faith that guided her throughout her life.
