
RD Fant, 91, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026. RD was born in New Hope, Arkansas on July 21, 1935 to William and Cora Fant.
He was a proud member of the United States Air Force for 26 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sargeant. Enjoying a long retirement, including winters in Panama City Beach, Florida, RD became known as an expert fisherman who freely shared his fishing knowledge and expertise with the many friends he made over the years. RD will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity, and love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Jean and Penny, his brother Bill, and his grandson Brian.
RD was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rosemary, his daughters Denise, Virginia, and Karen, and his son Mark Wayne. He also leaves behind grandchildren Sharon, Jamie, Doug, Josh, and Cory, along with great-grandchildren Kolten, Kayla, Sadie, Alaina, Hadley, Hunter, Ryker, and Cole.
Visitation will be held at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville on August 24, 2026 from 11:30am-12:30pm with a celebration of life to take place the same day at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock at 1:00pm.
