Joey Thompson, 63, of Ward departed this life on August 18th, 2026. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Thompson; father, Billy Thompson; and sister, Rhonda Barnett. Leaving behind his wife, Trina Thompson; son, Blake Griffin (Katie Case); daughter, Halei Thompson; sister, Kim Bradley; grandchildren Joshua, Braylee, Brantley, Drake, Remi, Everleigh, and Joe Heston. Several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Joey will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of the open road, his time spent behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler, and the joy he found in fishing and duck hunting. The memories he made with his family and friends will forever be treasured.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that his love, laughter, stories, and memories will remain with us always. Joey may no longer be by our side, but he will never be forgotten. He will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever carried in the hearts of those who loved him. Until we meet again, rest peacefully.
