Jimmy Milton Dycus, passed away at his home in Mayflower on August 19, 2026, one day after celebrating his 97th birthday. He was born to Carl Dycus and Dottie Jane Legate on August 18, 1929.
Jimmy’s favorite pastime was playing golf and spending time with and watching his favorite baseball and basketball player, Braxtyn McCuien, play ball.
Jimmy will be missed by family, Anthony and Terry Dycus, Carrie Dycus and Braxtyn McCuien, Brooke Ledford and Carley Gunn, and best friend, Jeff Cooper. He is survived by his brother, Leroy Dycus (Gilda) and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death was son, Jimmy Harrison Dycus, sister, Ruth Dycus, brothers, CJ and Wilburn Dycus.
At Jimmy’s request, there will be no services or visitation.

When we were able to make it to Mayflower or Conway for any reason, we made sure that a visit with Uncle Jimmy & Aunt Ruth was on the agenda. He would always meet you on the porch with a smile and a “Well, look who showed up. Where ya been?” Then before you could even sit down, he’d offer you some buttermilk & cornbread or a soda pop. Visits to Mayflower will not be the same without him. We’ll miss you, Uncle Jimmy.

We’re going to miss the visits with Jimmy & Jeff. If we knew they were coming to visit us or we were going to Mayflower, Jimmy would always have bags of pecans for Gilda. That was a hint that he wanted her to make him a pecan pie and we heard that he wouldn’t share it with anybody! He would always tell us about his exercise routine and it definitely showed in his golden years. You will always be in our hearts, Jimmy, but you will be greatly missed.
