John Dewayne House, age 58, of Carlisle, Arkansas passed away on August 31, 2026. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 20, 1967 to John William House and Martha Alice (Kidd) House.

John “Dewayne” is preceded in death by his grandparents Curtis and Maudie Kidd; his father John William House; mother Martha Starkey; brother Jerry Starkey; step-father Larry Starkey; two aunts Jean Turner and Ruth Ann Kidd; and six uncles James House, John Kidd, Bill Kidd, Richard Kidd, Frank Kidd, and Leon Kidd.

He is survived by his brother James Curtis House; special cousins Kathy and Alan Sarna, John “Bobbie” and Kristie D’Angelo; special aunt Shirley Roberts; the love of his life Tammy Dunn; along with a host of friends and family.

A huge thank you to all the incredible people at Chambers Nursing and Rehabilitation in Carlisle, Arkansas, Baptist Health Hospice, especially Maggie, and his friends and Pathfinders in Jacksonville, Arkansas for your compassion, kindness, care, friendship and love for our sweet John “Dewayne”. Each of you held a special place in his heart even if it was for just a short time and our family will be forever grateful to you all.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 6:00-8:00pm in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. The family kindly asks that everyone wear Razorback Red in honor of Dewayne’s favorite team.
