Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Tonya Carol Wade, age 56, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, departed this world for eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 10, 2026.

Born on July 19, 1970, in Dallas, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jimmy Wayne Shadix and Shirley Carol (France) Shadix. On November 11, 1988, Tonya married her soulmate, Jeffrey Wayne Wade, beginning a beautiful life of devotion together. A driven and lifelong learner, she achieved an Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design from the Elkins Institute (Class of 1988), and later earned an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from ASU- Beebe (Class of 2017).

Tonya was a devoted woman of God whose faith anchored her life. She was a deeply loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and a cherished “Grammy.” She treasured every moment spent with her family, children, and grandchildren. Her many passions and hobbies included arts and crafts, playing games, watching her favorite shows and movies-but above all else, she loved reading her Bible and attending church.

Tonya is now made whole again by her faith, walking streets of gold hand-in-hand eternally with God. Though she has left us, her profound love will forever carry on through each of us. She is forever loved, always missed, and never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Wayne Shadix; her mother, Shirley Carol (France) Shadix; her grandfather, Orval France; her aunts, Sherrie Shadix Glasscock and Doris France; and her cousin, Linda France Skinner.

She is survived by her spouse, Jeff Wade; her son, Brad Wade, and his wife, Amber; her daughter, Renee Copeland, and her husband, Corey; her grandchildren, Ayden Wade and Isaiah Copeland; her sister, Tosha Shadix; her brother, John France, and his wife, Angela; her aunt, Martha Taylor; her uncle, David France; her sister-in-law, Valerie Earhart, and her husband, Chuck; her brother-in-law, Wes Wade; and a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

A beautiful woman, inside and out. She blessed the lives of all those who knew her. I was lucky enough to call her Mom. She was my best friend, and the best example of what a Godly woman should be. Her love, wisdom, and faith will forever carry on within me. You will always be my sunshine! I love you forever Mom!!!!
