Roger William Stover, 89, of Jacksonville passed away on May 25, 2016. He was born on September 9, 1926 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Louis and Irene Stover. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Irene; brothers, Curtis, Grady and Louis Stover; sisters, Sina and Betty Stover; nieces, Anita Jacobsen and Marie Duncan and nephew, Curtis Stover.

Roger served his Country honorably in the United States Navy. He enlisted during WW2 and served on the aircraft carrier, Intrepid surviving five kamikaze attacks.

He is survived by, seven great-nieces and nephews; Kathy Mogish, Mike Duncan, Tommy Jacobsen, Debbie Jacobsen, Donnie Jacobsen, Ronnie Stover and Eddie Stover.
