Betty Lucille Burroughs, 77, of Mt. Vernon passed from this life on Wednesday, July 27th, 2016. She was born on August 16, 1938 in Parkin, Arkansas to Floyd Leon Payne and Phronie Lee Dunn. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Affectionately known by many as “Granny B” she cooked for many restaurants over the years but was cook and owner of Granny B’s in El Paso. Betty was of the Pentecostal faith and loved by all who met her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sons and one daughter, Bobby Leon Burroughs of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas, Terry Burroughs Jr. of El Paso, Arkansas and Connie Owens of Plain View, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Betty was a special lady. It was a pleasure knowing her and being her friend. So many memories of her. It’s for sure, when I think of her, I smile. Much love always and the family is in my prayers.
I am sorry for your loss, Betty walk my cousin. I visited her in May when we drove there from Idaho. She will be greatly missed.
