Wallace “Bud” Matthews, 70


Wallace “Bud” Matthews, 70, of Hot Springs died, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Bud was born in Dewitt, AR. His is predeceased by his parents Evelyn and Bennie Matthews.

Bud was an avid pool player and bowler.   He was a member of the VFW Veterans pool league and won several awards for his shooting skills. He was an active member of the VFW Men’s Auxiliary and dedicated to helping veterans and his post by doing whatever he could. He was a motorcycle rider and loved going on long rides with his friends. He was a board member for the Piney Fire Department and loved his family there.

Bud was always there to help out friends. It did not matter what the task, if you asked him to help whether it be cleaning, mowing or help moving he was always there for a friend in need. He will be missed by many people.

He leaves behind his soul mate, Teresa Mitchell. Stepson Tim Mc Dorman, sisters, Fran Pecoraro and Marie Morrison, several nieces and nephews, Mike, Brenda, Mark, Toni and Keith, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held 1 pm Saturday, August, 20th at VFW Post 2278, 2231 E Grand Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 501-982-3400.
