James William Byrd (Jimmy) 49, of Mena, Arkansas passed from this life on November 23, 2016. He was born on March 27, 1967 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Claude William and Patricia Elaine Byrd.
Jimmy worked in the Automotive Parts industry. Jimmy was an outdoors enthusiast, enjoyed water sports, and was a collector of firearms and knives.
Jimmy passed away peacefully following a long battle with emphysema and a short battle with cancer.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved pet miniature Schnauzer Abby; his mother, Patricia Russo of Watauga, TX; a brother, David R. Byrd and sister-in-law, Janyce McCoy Byrd of Mena, AR; one aunt, Mary Byrd Perry, a niece; Amanda Byrd Mitchell, and two nephews, Brooks Byrd and Sean Byrd; all of Fort Worth, TX; and many more family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
