Peggy Jo Platt, age 74

Peggy Jo Platt, age 74, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday,  January 12, 2017.  She was born in Gillett, Arkansas, on September 11, 1942.  Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Murl and Myrtle Edna Baker, one sister, and four brothers.  She was a baptized, faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Searcy, Arkansas for 43 years.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas Michael; three children, Michael Shawn Platt, Brian Wade Platt, and Shannon Lea Platt-Albo; two brothers, Cecil Edwards Smith and Albert Murl Baker; one sister, Linda Sue Baker-Finch; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Searcy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2723 Eastline Road, Searcy AR 72143.

Cremation entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400.

    Peggy and Tommy have always been a joy to be around. Full of kindness to others. We will miss her and look forward to seeing her again soon healthy and happy!!

    Lots of great memories going to the Platts home for service and book study when we very first came to meetings. Peggy will be missed very much.

    This system in such a burden. Soon the last enemy will be brought to nothing and we will see our dear sister again.(1 Cor 15:26) The pain you now feel will soon be replaced with a joy like we have never known. (John 5:28 & 29) It’s “just around the corner.” In the meantime may Jehovah comfort you. (2 Cor 1:3 & 4)

    We knew Peggy she was a very sweet, kind person she will be missed. We pray that Jehovah comforts the family.
