Lonnie Odell Lance, age 83, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in Mena, Arkansas. He was born on August 28, 1933 in Mena, Arkansas to James and Mary Lance.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, his parents, four brothers, William Lance, Charles Lance, Elmer Lance and Herbert Lance: two sisters, Nellie Lance and Mildred Lance and one daughter, Martha Bowser.
He is survived by his daughter Virginia Dilbeck of Horatio, Arkansas, his brother James Lance of Fort Smith, Arkansas, his grandchildren Bonnie (Chris) Rippe of Mena, Arkansas; Rene (Steven) Self of Mena, Arkansas; Melissa (Joe) McCann of Springdale, Arkansas; Michele (Jamie) Essman of Springdale, Arkansas; Chris Dilbeck (Melinda) of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Brian Baker of Springdale, Arkansas. He leaves behind sixteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 1st, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Highway 8, 6 miles west of Mena, Arkansas.
