Diane (Mathis) Hudson came in to this world fighting and left this world the same way on July 1, 2017.
Diane was born in Taranto, Italy to Glenn and Libby Mathis, who along with her niece Erin Powell, preceded her in death. She will be forever missed by her sister Linda (Rick/Coach) Powell, her brother Rick (Linda Kay) Mathis, nieces Carrie (Alex) and Rachel, nephew Krys (Asia), great nieces Claudia, Caylinda, and Elsa and great nephews Domingo and Jack as well as numerous friends.
Diane had the best laugh. It was loud and contagious. She was brutally honest, but not mean. She was generous and gave freely to anyone in need. She was a defender of social justice. She loved live music, and she loved beer and made many friends who shared those passions.
A celebration of Diane will take place at the Flying Saucer in Little Rock on July 23rd at 3pm. In the meantime, turn up your music and dance like no one is watching.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Van, Our House, or a charity of your choice.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400.
