Jewel Dean Ramsey, 76

Jewel Dean Ramsey, 76, passed away on December 6, 2017. He was married for a loving and devoted 33 years to Mrs. Mary Marcell Ramsey. He was born in Newport, Arkansas and was the son of Joseph Arther Ramsey and Pearl Mae Sanderfur.

He worked in route sells and delivery at Sunbeam Bread, Dr. Pepper, and Coleman Dairy. He enjoyed dancing, telling jokes, and playing with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his charismatic personality and his sense of humor. He could certainly put a smile on your face; he cared about others and he never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Brain Cotton and his siblings, Audrey Virginia Pratt, Orville (Buddy) Ramsey, Wanda L. Ramsey, Naresh D. Ramsey, Ronald Ramsey, Donald W. Ramsey, and Jerry Ramsey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Marcell Ramsey; his children, Deana Ann Ramsey-Smith, Mary Katherine Ramsey, Scarlett Renee Parker, Mary Amanda Cook, Jeremy Dean Ramsey, Richard Shannon Ramsey, Joseph Arther Ramsey, and Tonya Celeste Reynolds.  He will be missed by his grandchildren, Harley Cotton, Jessica Lee Reynolds, Hunter Wayne Reynolds, Stephanie Lee Gladden, Leslie Nicole Beard, Jake Ryan Ramsey, Van Alexander Beard, Jayne Maria Benson, Alivia Jewel Ramsey, Sophia Marie Cook, Hezekiah Daniel Cook, and Weston Dean Ramsey, his seven greatgrandchildren and his two sisters Evelyn Ramsey and Charlotte Ramsey.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Lone Sassafras Cemetery, Monticello, Arkansas. The family will host a fellowship from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Hampton Inn, Monticello, Arkansas following the graveside services.
