Melva Lee Ritter Temple, age 71, passed away peacefully at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday, January 6, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born on October 31, 1946 to Charles R. Sr., and Iris Ritter of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands Donald J. Smith and Ernest M. Temple; a son Thomas L. Temple; a sister Rose Pate and brother Charles R. Ritter, Jr.
She is survived by her sons Terry Dale Temple (Michelle) of El Dorado, Arkansas, Ardell Temple (Betsy) of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana and Brian Temple (Jennifer) of New Mexico; a special niece Tanya Sheridan (Joe) of Slaughter, Louisiana; grandchildren Corinne Cagle, Sarah Peyton Cagle of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Grayson and Jacob Temple of El Dorado, Arkansas, Kyle Temple of Russellville, Arkansas, Kayla Temple of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, Brandon Temple of French Settlement, Louisiana, Bailey and Christian Temple of New Mexico; and three great-grandchildren.
A time of gathering will beheld will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Northside Baptist Church, Denham Springs, Louisiana with a celebration of life service at 2:00 P.M.
No flowers please. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Hospice Home Care, 2200 South Bowman Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211.

So sorry for your loss. May you dwell on the good memories and in the future find the strength to laugh light heartedly about the bad memories. I love you, Michelle, Dale, and family. May God give you courage to press on when grief is overwhelming.
