To the Family,
I’m sorry for your loss and send my condolences. Losing a loved one is one of the hardest times in a family’s life. Always know that others care. Most important God cares. He has promised a time when he will “swallow up death forever, and wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8). Remember all the joyful times you all spent together with Rodney and cherish them forever in your hearts. My prayers are with your family.
Amen

Rod Smart was my boyhood best friend. I have known him since I was 10 and he was 12! There are few things we didn’t do together. We use to ride bikes all over Jacksonville. We were in Boy Scouts together. Went to camp Quapaw and were tent mates. Use to hunt squirrels near Bayou Meto. Mud fights at Hassen Pond. He was like another brother. My family adored him. One Christmas he bought everyone a Christmas gift. We use to sell apples for his Dad or brother in the Project. I believe he would give the shirt off his back. I will miss Rod.
You two were each other’s shadows💙

Rod was such a nice and giving person and took care of everyone. He will be missed by all who loved him.
Just found this and wanted to give my condolences to the family. Zack was my best friend thru elementary and Jr high and high-school. The first overnight experience at a friend’s prolky in the 5th grade I think. His parents where always so kid and his dad Mr rod smart was such a good man. I’ll always remember going to his sign business, and him teaching me how to ride a 4 wheeler (which my grandparents would have never done… lol) I love you Zack and Mrs betty…
