Doris Pace DeSoto, 81

Doris Pace DeSoto departed for heaven to see her Savior March 14, 2019, at her home in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born September 26, 1937 in Smackover, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Louella Pace, and son, Joel Langford DeSoto, and siblings, Edith, James and Ernest Pace.

She is survived by husband of 65 years, Huey R. DeSoto, Sr.; children, Nancy DeSoto of Fall Branch, TN, Huey and Vanessa DeSoto of Keller, TX; Susan and Marlon Alarcon of Benton; Ernest and Sherri DeSoto of Sheridan; Roger and Nancy DeSoto of Avondale, AZ; and, Randy DeSoto of El Dorado; sisters, Edwina and Pat Pace from Searcy, Charlotte Vinson from El Dorado, and sister in-law, Betty Pace of McNeil. A loving Maw maw to 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, she was blessed with many loving and caring nieces/nephews.

A woman of deep faith, she was born again as a young adult and baptized at Immanuel Baptist in Magnolia. She was a lifelong Baptist and a member of First Baptist, Whitehall. Throughout life, she was strengthened by faith, prayer, and the Word of God. In her last days, she said she was ready and excited to finally meet the Savior, and to be greeted by family.

A loyal Arkansas Razorback fan, she loved gardening, and spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, March 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Parkview Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas.

The family extends gratitude to Dr. Netherland and staff, Arkansas Heart Hospital, and Lifetouch Hospice for their care and compassion. The family requests memorial donations be made to Lifetouch Hospice 2301 Champagnolle Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730.

    To the Family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Doris has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God’s Kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ.
