Albert Davis, 86, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, bade this life farewell and begun his journey to his eternal home, in the early hours on Thursday, May 2, 2019. Albert was born on June 2, 1932 to the late Rufus and Clara Davis in Parkdale, Arkansas.
Albert Davis accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He devoted his love towards his mother and father and moved them to Dermott, Arkansas in the summer of 1969, while working as a farmer for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Clara Vaughn Davis, one sister Elizabeth McCoy, two brothers Robert and Curtis Davis, one nephew Frank McCoy and one grandson Cotry Davis, III.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son Cotry Davis (Angela) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; one step-daughter Emmar Branch (Ira) of Brinkley, Arkansas; five grandchildren Tyren Davis (Amy) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Corey and Nathan Davis of Jacksonville, Arkansas; three step-grandchildren Eulos and Latrecia Wilson and Jamal Clark; two great-grandchildren Rashaad and Rashaan Davis of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Tranisha Barney and LaMarcus Junior; two nephews, whom he had a hand in raising, James Payne (Linda) of Dermott, Arkansas and Elbert “Kehinde Lumumba” Payne of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; special extended family members Ruby Woods, Lula, Henry, and David Billups (Wanda), Julia Merrill (Dwight), Jesse Woods (Thelma) and Regina Jackson (Jimmy) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 11, 2018 at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas with funeral services beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be held at Zion Hill Cemetery, Parkdale, Arkansas.
