John W. Adams, 76

John William Adams “Big John”, 76, of of McRae, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019.  He was born July 1, 1942 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Louise Wright.  John was a member of the Millwright Carpenters Union for over 50 years.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, collecting arrowheads, and he had a keen interest in Indian artifacts.  John also enjoyed going bird hunting with his beloved bird dog “Blue”. He was an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, and friend.  John will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 


He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Adams; their children, John Patrick Adams (Laura) and Erin Adams; his other children, Carrie Cook-Castera, Larry Dick, Twila Reed, and Debbie Crim; beloved aunt Shirley Reason; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he cherished, and a host of extended family and friends.

Per John’s wishes, there will be no traditional funeral service.  Cremation arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.  2620 West Main St Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400.

    Johnny will be missed by so many. I just thought he’d always be there. 😞 thankful he’s not in pain anymore.
