James Bradshaw “Brad” Weaver, age 56

It is with a broken heart that the family of James Bradshaw “Brad” Weaver notifies his friends and extended family that we lost our beloved Brad to a heart attack on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at his home in Scott, AR.

Brad was born on February 24, 1963 in Englewood, New Jersey. He played football and graduated from Cabot High School in 1982. After high school he attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He worked in construction and masonry, drove ‘big trucks’, and a variety of other trades throughout his life.

Brad was loved by all who knew him, but more importantly he loved them. His love, kindness, and generosity knew no bounds. He had a raucous wit, smart sarcasm, and a deeply infectious laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Reba Weaver, Scott; his mother Betty Carter Weaver, Caruthersville, MO; five siblings: Chuck Weaver, Little Rock; Deb Weaver Sauberer (Paul), Austin, TX; Les Weaver (Rebecca), Houston, TX: Kellie Weaver Gilliam (Stephen), Knoxville, TN; and Daniel Weaver (Jaci), Lyndeborough, NH; Fifteen nieces and nephews; 7 great-nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, George E. Weaver, his maternal grandparents Leo and Earline McAdams, his paternal grandparents George L. and Maddie (Stout) Weaver.

A memorial service is being held at St. Stephen’s episcopal church at 1pm on Saturday, December 7th. There will be a reception in the parish hall after the service. In lieu of cards or flowers please make donations to the Salvation Army, the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association.

    I coached Brad at Cabot High School and remember him well. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time. May God bless you all.
