Amanda S. Carter, 33 of Sherwood, Arkansas passed from this life unexpectedly due to her injuries from an auto accident. She was of the Christian faith and had recently celebrated a year and a half of sobriety after overcoming many obstacles and difficulties in her life. Amanda was known for always making others laugh and smile any chance she had. She loved her family more than anything and lived her life to the fullest and on her own terms.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Peggy Hazelwood, Turner Hazelwood, William Carter and Sally Woods and one aunt Tammy Carter. Amanda leaves behind her children Victoria Smith, Brayden Williams; parents Shelly Hazelwood-Marr (Chris), Michael Carter (Caroline); siblings Todd Carter, Christopher Carter, Dustin Carter, Elana Nesbit, Ross Smith, Shawn Chester, Ceann Bowerman; fiancé Joshua Lunsford; aunt Rebecca Kennedy; uncles Byron Hazelwood, Jimmy Carter, Chuck Carter, Buddy Carter and a host of other loving family and friends.

In light of current public health concerns, the memorial service for Amanda will be postponed till a later date and time. Her family is very grateful for your understanding, support and prayers in this difficult time.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400

    I am extremely honored and privileged to have worked with Amanda in her recovery journey. I know for a fact that her heart was truly dedicated to her children and her family above all else and I am confident that she will be with them throughout their life with her undying love and support of everything they do.

    I love you my sister Amanda my Mandy with a “y” not an “i” lol we’ve known each other since middle school and everytime we seen each other we pick it right back up like we never skipped a beat! It don’t seem right saying rip in front of your name! So instead I say sAve me a spot sis! I love you and will be their for mama and the babies whenever they need me!     I loved Mandy she was a lot of fun to be around and will be greatly missed…. Still trying to come to terms with the reality of you really being gone….

    Mandy was not only a good friend she was like a sister … we saw each of others children grow. She was one of the very few who really got to know me. I know she is looking down on us and being Mandy making sure her make up and hair is looking good. I love you and I will miss you very much my sister. I will always keep you in my heart

    Mandy was just not a good friend she was like a sister. She was one of the very few people who really got to now me for who I am. We saw each other’s kids grow up. She had over came a lot of of challenges in her life. Her smile made everyone else smile and feel welcomed. Mandy loved her two babies and wanted nothing but happy life’s for them. She will always have a place in my heart ❤️. I know we heaven has an angel watching over us but to true Mandy fashion she will make sure her hair and make up look good. Many I love you and you will be missed but never forgotten
