
Gordon Valk, 64, left this world on February 24, 2020 after a long battle with Diabetes. Gordon was born on September 3, 1955 to Earl Allen Valk and Gladys Marie (Roberts) Valk. Gordon was preceded in death by his father Earl Allen Valk and (2) sisters; Theresa Joy Bump and Marlo Janese Wright of Claremore.
Gordon is survived by his mother Gladys M. (Valk) Thomas of Claremore, Oklahoma (2) sons; James Earl Valk and Garrett Cook, (3) grandchildren; James Earl Valk, Jr., Marjorie Savannah Marie Valk, and Dylan Ray Valk of Hot Springs Arkansas, (4) brothers; Earl D. Valk of Madill Oklahoma, Richard A. Valk, Eddie W. Valk, and Anthony W. Valk of Claremore, Oklahoma (6) sisters; Delores Dunlap of Tulsa, Sylvia Thompson and husband Lloyd, Hazel Laffoon and husband Bill, of Claremore, Oklahoma, Florence Tucker of Spavinaw, Oklahoma, Cynthia Swalley and husband Bill of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Angela Knight of Hot Springs Arkansas and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Gordon loved spending time with his family and friends and spent his time between Hot Springs Arkansas and Claremore, although he called Arkansas his home. His passion was hunting and fishing. Gordon loved working with horses and helping to train them to race.
