Elmer Roy York “Pop”, 73, of Scott passed away on April 29, 2020. He was born in Mayflower, Arkansas on January 3, 1947 to the late Carl William York, Sr. and Katie Jewel (Davis) York.
Everyone knew that if he wasn’t finishing sheetrock, or spending time with family, that he could be found at the Pinkston Pawn Shop, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his brother Carl “Bud” York, Jr., and the two women he loved dearly Emma Stricklin and Linda York.
Elmer is leaving behind to cherish his memories, his children Carla Coffman (Chance), Gary Ross, Mark Ausbrook (Heather), Bridgette Stricklin, and Christy Stricklin; his grandchildren Tyler Wise, Rylee Wise, Chance Coffman, Jr., Shannon Jones (Josh), Dannie Howell, Grace Howell, Makenzie Wise and Paisley Wise; his siblings Ellen Crowder and Glen York (Bobbi); his niece Debbie Branscum (Randy) and many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, toast your next cold one to “Pop” and his memory.
Graveside memorial service will be on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Arkansas Memorial Gardens, 8507 Hwy 161, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
