Billy Joe Simkins, 74, of Jacksonville passed away on May 11, 2020. He was born in Braymer, Missouri on November 18, 1945, to the late Charles Clayton and Mary Ethel (Wentworth) Simkins.
He attended the 2nd Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas and was the owner/operator of Simkins Trucking of Jacksonville, Arkansas. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother who was a constant comedian who loved to make people laugh.
He is preceded in death by Charles Ray Simkins, Shirley Higgins, Sharon Thompson, and Marliee McCracken.
Bill leaves behind his loving children Sonya McLain (Malcom), Rudy Banuleos (Natalie), Kristal Kyzer (Shawn) and Matthew Hopkins; his grandchildren Joshua, Amber, Matthew, Jr., Justin, Triston, Morgan, Aly, Kennedy, Taylor and Brooks; his four great-grandchildren; his brother Bob Simkins and many extended relatives and friends.
A service will be held at a later date.
