Joanne Elizabeth Murphree, 70, of Austin passed away from natural causes, on May 24, 2020. She was born on September 12, 1949 in Washington, D.C. to the late Stanley and Esther (Nelson) Minturn.
She loved her cats, grandchildren, gardening, sewing, sons-in-law and daughters, usually in that order according to her. She loved to shop at flea markets and thrift stores for collectibles, she collected pottery and was an avid hunter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chief Master Sergeant William Cecil Murphree, Jr., and the father of her children, Robert Michael O’Neal.
Joanne leaves behind to cherish her laughter and memories, her daughters, Catherine O’Neal-Frizzell (Dale) of Oklahoma and Robin Neaville (Tracy) of Arkansas; her step-daughter Tracy Murphree of Texas; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Joanne requested there be no service but instead she requested for donations to be made to your local animal shelter on her behalf.
