Rachel Lea Gunter, 83, of Butlerville passed away on May 19, 2020. She was born in Butlerville, Arkansas on August 8, 1936 to the late John V. and Lucille (Seabourne-Cocheran) Gunter.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her sons Jeremiah Wells and Patrick Wells; her granddaughter Anna Elizabeth Wells and her brother John Gunter.
Rachel leaves behind to cherish her memories her children Sarah Wion and Rachel Smith; her grandchildren Heather Wells-Hartman, Nicole Wion, Christopher Wells, Matthew Wells, Luke Wells and Joshua Wells; her great-grandchildren Zaylee Wells and Penelope Wells; brother Larry Gunter and step-sister Antoinette Caldwell; daughter-in-law Valerie Wells and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be Friday, May 29, 2020 at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas from 3:00 until 4:00 PM. Graveside service will be on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Salem Cemetery, Butlerville, Arkansas.
In light of the current health concerns, Rachel’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, there will be a limit of 50 guests, all guests over age 10 must wear a face covering to attend and social distancing guidelines will be in place.
