Thomas R. Reed, 77, of Jacksonville, Arkansas departed this life on May 16, 2020. He also lived many years in the Russellville, Arkansas area. Thomas was born in Goose Creek, Texas to the late Thomas S. Jr and Francis “Edith” A. Reed on August 26, 1942. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served one year in Vietnam. Thomas attended church at McArthur Assembly of God and Russellville First Assembly. Thomas was a retired tire manufacturer from Firestone Tire in Russellville, AR after a 28 year long career.
He is also preceded in death by his daughter Lanita Kay Reed; step-mother Olga Reed and his sister Charlotte Reed Hill. Thomas leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years, Laveta Reed; step-sister Sallie Bonner; daughters Kelly Reed and Tonya Rushin (Brent); grand-daughter Hanna Rushin and a host of other loving family and friends.

In light of the current health concerns, Thomas’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend his memorial service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, there will be a limit of 50 guests, all guests over age 10 must wear a face covering to attend and social distancing guidelines will be in place.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 11:00am with a time of family visitation from 10-11am at McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville. Arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. 501-982-3400

We have wonderful memories of Thomas Reed
and we look forward to spending eternity with him.
Our prayers and love are with his precious wife, his two daughters and granddaughter.
Thomas was a great friend. He will be greatly missed by his family an church members. We send our prayers for peace and comfort to Laveta and the girls.
