Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Judy Lynn Riley, age 52

Judy Lynn Riley, 52, of Little Rock passed away on September 28, 2020.  She was born in Houma, Louisiana to Kenneth and Anne Bradke Riley.

Judy Lynn Riley was a free spirit.  She grew up in Little Rock where she was active with church, school and Girl Scouts.  Summers she taught swimming through the Red Cross and volunteered at the Little Rock Zoo.  After graduation from Little Rock Central High School, she completed an internship at the Smithsonian Institute before earning a degree in Spanish from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.  Rather than pursue a traditional career, she devoted her life to the care and helping of others.  Judy loved animals and was a volunteer at vet clinics and the Humane Society.  Happy and friendly, she always shared a word of encouragement to those around her.  Judy was a Christian and her love of Jesus guided her every day.  She loved to travel and particularly enjoyed visiting places in the Ozark and Rocky Mountains.  Her sweet presence will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Anne Bradke Riley.  Survivors are sister and brother-in-law Pamela and Billy Hildebrand and nephews Peter and Eric Hildebrand, all of Little Rock, in addition to numerous cousins.

“A free spirit is not bound by this, that, matter, materialism or opinion.  They sing, dance and flow on the wind – for they are at one with it.  They are nothing and everything – void and expanse.  Even space and time does not confine or define them.  For they are pure energy itself. “

~ Rasheed Ogunlaru

“The point where I give myself to their cause as if it were my own predicament… where I give period without worrying about what it costs me… It’s love”.

~ Judy Lynn Riley

I had a childhood memory of Judy and fond thoughts of her. I’m heart broken to find our world is without her.
