Wayburn was a good example of what a Christian should be. He always greeted me at church and was one of my favorite people to run in to. He was willing to help anyone that needed anything. I know he will be missed by family and friends. No doubt your celebrating in Heaven.

We called him Wayburn when he and Carol came back to Lawrence County to visit and aftended church with at Eli Lindsey Memorial UMC. Their bright smiles lit up our little church. As their visits got farther apart I would occasionally find him at recess time at McDonald’s in Jacksonville. We would catch up on friends and family share a funny story or two. He will be missed. Carol may God comfort you!

So sorry for the loss of your dear dad. My mom and dad and your mom and dad were great friends and enjoyed many outings together. My dad (Thomas Causey) and Mr Penn were brothers in Christ. This is such a difficult time, and I know you probably aren’t having the type of service you may have wished or wanted, but if you could, you would have a sanctuary overflowing with loving Christian friends and family. Mr. Penn was such a good man, and I feel like I’ve known him forever. Though I cannot be with your family at this time, please know I am thinking of all your family and praying for you to find comfort and peace. Please tell Miss Carol that I love her and will be praying for her. I think my dad and Mr. Penn are sitting back with a cup of coffee and catching up on things, Love you guys…
