Chester Lee Shelton, 80

Chester Lee Shelton: 80 years old of Jacksonville died at Baptist Health Hospital in North Little Rock, AR on November 9, 2020. He was born December 14, 1939 to Wesley and Viola Maddox Shelton in Star City, AR. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of St. Ollie Baptist Missionary Church in Star City where he remained a faithful member. Chester loved the Lord; he always shared with others about God’s goodness and lived a life of faith. He retired as an asphalt layer from Lincoln County Road Department in Star City.

Chester preceded in death by his parents Wesley and Viola Maddox Shelton, siblings Lula Shelton Matthews, Madelean Shelton, Annie Shelton Baldwin, Berthola Shelton Jones, Essie Shelton and Wesley Shelton Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories with one brother Allen Shelton, one sister Dora Shelton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Ollie Missionary Baptist Church in Star City, Arkansas. In light of the current health concerns, Chester’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, attendance will be regulated in accordance to Arkansas guidelines, all guests in attendance will be required wear masks/facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will be in place. There will not be a repass due to COVID-19 pandemics state restrictions

We, the Shelton Family would like to thank everyone for all the acts of love and kindness shown to us during this very difficult time. May God bless each of you!
