Gary Dale Welshhons, age 79

Gary Dale Welshhons, 79, of Mabelvale passed away on December 15, 2020.  He was born in Knoxville, Iowa on June 8, 1941, to the late Gerald and Maxine (Wahe) Welshhons.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved his family deeply.  Gary was strong willed and would always help those in need.  He enjoyed watching TV, especially westerns, and working word search books.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Marilyn Marshall, Glenn Welshhons, Jack Welshhons, Ira Eugene Welshhons and Charles (Chuck) Welshhons.

Gary leaves behind his loving wife, of 41 years, Earlene (Lewis) Welshhons; his children Randy Welshhons of Sebring, Florida, Christine Welshhons Froh of West Allis, Wisconsin, Lynda Welshhons Ballerini of Jackson, Wisconsin; his step-children Rick Brim of Lonoke, Arkansas, Judy Drennon of Ward, Arkansas, Sheila Houser of Mabelvale, Arkansas and Michael Brim of Ward, Arkansas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren that are too numerous to mention; his sister Kay Ann Welshhons; a host of extended family and friends.

In light of the current health concerns, Gary’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, attendance will be regulated in accordance to Arkansas guidelines, all guests in attendance will be required to wear masks/facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will be in place.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 9:30 until 10:30 at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas.

    I may not have got to know you as I would have liked to growing up but I know your a good man and are resting peacefully. Love you grandpa.

    Our deep sympathy, prayers and uplifting love is offered to the entire family. We only knew Gary through his daughter Lynda, but his imprint on this world is indelible. May he soar in peace❤️

    I found this in looking for info on the family name. Glenn was my Father and my Mother was his first wife Diana. Gary was my uncle and I hadn’t seen him since before my Mother two Brother’s and I left Iowa in 1968. Uncle Gary and Chuck were my favorites. I hadn’t seen Kay Ann or Marilyn since the mid 60’s also but I do remember them. So sorry for the families loss. I’m going to say hello to Randy since he lives fairly close to me I’m in central Florida.
