Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

William Edward Tompkins, age 71

William Edward Tompkins (71) was born in Kilmichael, MS, on June 10, 1949. He was a Vietnam veteran.

Everyone knew him as Eddie. He never met a stranger and made it a mission to make everyone laugh. From his firm handshake and crooked grin, he made a long-lasting impression on everyone he met. To know him was to love him. We will never forget our jokester of a dad, husband, and friend. His favorite quote was, “Every day is a gift.” He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Betty Tompkins. He was survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Renee Tompkins, and his children, Chase, Angel, Misty, Wendy, Danielle, and Cody. 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters Judy, Bobby, and Morris.

The family will be holding a virtual memorial service later in December. Please contact Cody Tompkins for details.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent by check to the incredible family who cared for Eddie at Fortress Living Care Home (https://fortresscarehome.com), 117 Fortress Ln., Hot Springs National Park, AR 71913, or via Cash App at $cash4tab.

Arrangements are entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. 501-982-3400
