Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Grace Leoma Cox, 88

Grace Leoma Cox, 88, of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away on January 28, 2021. She was born August 31, 1932 in Yakima, Washington to Thomas Spencer Chalmers and Christina Maner.

She loved the Lord. She was passionate about going to church and being a part of the Body of Christ! “This is my Life, This is what I live for…” was her anthem. She loved music and always, always was a part of the church band. She’s now playing her piano and violin and singing “Glory, Glory Hallelujah” before Almighty God! Always a praise in her heart and so very thankful for God finding her and showing her the Body of Christ at the Houston Gospel Assembly on Airline Drive in the early 1970’s- it saved her life where she found everlasting peace and love!

Grace was a violinist, pianist, cellist, and very active in her church band. She was a member of Claremore Community Choir. As a holistic naturalist, Grace loved gardening and eating healthy. She was very centered around her family. Grace wrestled with Alzheimer’s for a number of years.

Grace is preceded in death by her Thomas and Christina Chalmers; husband of 43 years Kenneth Cox; and siblings Lela, Mayta, Geneva, Martha, Harrison, Raymond, and Luther.

Grace leaves behind her children David Wiggin, Elaine Leach, Leslie Wiggin, Debra Payne, Perry Wiggin, Martha Vandiver, and Nathan Wiggin; a little over 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and the father of her children Verne Wiggin.
