Steven Ray Abshure, age 56

Steven Ray Abshure, age 56, of Austin, Arkansas, was born April 1, 1964 and he died January 28, 2021.

Steve was a mechanic at Little Rock Dodge for 12 years. After leaving Little Rock Dodge, Steve continued his love of working on vehicles as a self-employed mechanic at his home in Austin. There was never a dull moment when around Steve. He was full of life as well as himself.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Abshure; grandparents Will and Hazel Abshure; Newt and Beatrice Taylor; brother Gary Abshure; two sons Dusty and Cody Abshure.

He is survived by two daughters Crystal Easter and Amanda Nelson both of Austin; mother Kathryn Abshure of Austin; two brothers Brian and David (Melissia) Abshure of Austin, and his sister in law Anita Abshure of Cabot; and a host of other friends and family.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. Funeral Service will be Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Butlerville.

In light of the current health concerns, Steve’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, attendance will be regulated in accordance to Arkansas guidelines, all guests in attendance will be required to wear masks/facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will be in place.

    I send our love and prayers to steven family I’m sorry for your loss I only got the pleasure of meeting steven ones wish I could have got the chance to know him better .     Steven, you have been a part of my life since we were young teenagers. You always had that great beautiful smile that lit up the room. So many people love you and will miss you so very much. I could always call you when I needed a true friend to be there. It’s hard to believe that your really gone but I know one thing to be true is you that you WILL NEVER be forgotten and thought of by so many. Love you to pieces and you will forever live in my ❤. Steven Ray Abshure…you were my first love and I have so many great memories that I will forever cherrish. Thank you for being a part of my life all these years. Love you always Steven!

    My sweet prince Steve Abshure , You were a lifelong friend to me and I loved you like a brother .. In your life you dealt with great tragedy and you My brother didn’t deserve any of that , you were a strong minded fighter you kept on fighting thru the bad times .. You adored your sons and loved all people regardless of any opinion of others I knew you in elementary school all the way up to your last days , I know your at Peace in the kingdom of heaven you had the most wonderful heart you could make me see things in a whole different light . Steve . You will be greatly missed by many many friends but for me I will miss you greatly I am praying for your mother Kathryn and David & Brian they loved you very much and looked up to you ! Sleep now my sweet prince and know you will live in my mind and heart till we meet in heaven The pain is OVER for you steve ! Baby .. we will meet again someday I love you & miss you deeply my dear friend ~

    Steve we had four beautiful children I remember that man tell you at the grocery store how lucky you was to have a happy family but God had a different plan know you are with the boys watching over me and girls and all seven grandkids thank you for come to help me with the boys they both was just like you ya had big hearts with bug smiles and love all the people in ya life’s tell Dusty and Cody I love them so much I miss them just like I will miss call you to ask about car problems because you was the best mechanic in the world now you are not in pain love always Tammy
