Merion Jean Hull, age 72

Merion Jean Smith Hull (Merion) born September 26, 1948 and passed from this earth to her heavenly home on March 17, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford S. Hull.

Meme earned her GED and completed Culinary Arts School in 1990.  She loved the art of garnishing food and was an awesome southern cook.  Her family remembers her fried chicken, mashed potatoes and homemade biscuits and her love for Dr. Pepper, hamburgers, and chocolate.

Meme is survived by her 5 children – Kemberley (Danny) Phillips, of Sherwood; Danny (Chandel) Hull, of Paris, AR; Kelly (Brad) Moore, of Huntsville, AR; Karen (Guy) Lemaster, of Cabot, AR; and John (Belinda) Hull, of Jacksonville, AR.  Fourteen grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and a host of friends and family.

The Family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice and Spring Creek Nursing and Rehab for the compassionate care they provided.

Merion’s visitation will be on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Restoration Church, 11507 Hwy 5, Cabot, AR on Saturday, March 20th at 10:00am. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery, Hwy 89, Jacksonville, AR.

In light of the current health concerns, Merion’s family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers if you are not able to attend the service. Please be aware, as per Arkansas directives, attendance will be regulated in accordance to Arkansas guidelines, all guests in attendance will be required to wear masks/facial coverings and social distancing guidelines will be in place.

    We are so sorry for your loss and you all are in our thoughts and prayers. I have such great memories of Jean and Crawford and it was a blessing to have known them. They will be missed by so many.

    Mama Jean was a wonderful lady. She gave the best hugs and she did love Dr Pepper! I am so blessed to have known her and Crawford.

    Jean, and Crawford too, was, and will be, one of those special people in your life that make you consider how you want your life to be. Her character, her values, her compassion were such that you looked and said to yourself, that’s how I want to be. And besides all that, she made the very best biscuits on this earth and manicotti no Italian could equal. Will always love this entire family!

    My prayers for all the Hull Family. I know Sis. Hull is rejoicing in Heaven. And, she won’t have to worry any more. Praise God for his faithfulness! It’s not going to be very long before we see our loved ones again! Love ya’ll so much!
