Lance Christopher Moorman, 35, of Sherwood, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Lance was born on January 9, 1986 at F.E. Warren Hospital, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Cecil “CJ” and Cynthia “Cindy” Moorman. Lance followed his two older brothers Royce Johnathan & Chad Edwin into this world.
God had unique plans for Lance when he entrusted our family with this special angel. He always seemed to have a profound effect on everyone he met. He was blessed with the most beautiful eyes, eye lashes, and curly brown hair, which was the envy of all the girls and ladies. He had the most beautiful smile that was contagious and could just melt your heart away. He loved sharing his deep laugh with anyone.
Lance brought so many people into our lives. He enjoyed life–watching basketball on TV and listening to country music. His favorite things to play with were balloons and Christmas wrapping paper (forget the gifts). He took simple pleasure in hearing the sound a crunching up a Doritoes bag or playing with an envelope or the tail of a long dragon his Aunt Christine gave him.
Lance is survived by his parents C J and Cindy Moorman; his brother, Royce and Melissa Moorman and their children: Jakson, Mariana, Bryton and Cobin; his brother, Chad and Rachel Moorman and their children: Emma, Sydney, Langdon, Willow, Samie and Dawson; his younger adopted brother, Josiah “Jo Jo” Moorman; his grandmother, DeAnn Murray and his aunt, Christine Murray of North Little Rock; his Uncle Glen and Aunt Linda Moorman of Harvey, LA; his Uncle Calvin and Aunt Christine Moorman of Covington, LA; his first cousins Breanna Murray of Nashville, TN; Sarah Overmier and Ashley Keating of Covington, LA; and Kati Murray of Birmingham, AL.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cecil & Una Mae Moorman of Marrero, LA; grandfather Ed Murray and Uncle Greg Murray of Sherwood, AR.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Sherwood, 701 Country Club Road, Sherwood, AR. There will be a luncheon to follow service at the church hosted by the Thomason Bible Study Class. For those who will not be able to make the service you can live stream it by going to fbcsherwood.org/specialevents and you will see the link: Lance Moorman Service. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the ACH Foundation at Arkansas Children’s Hospital: https://www.archildrens.org/ giving.

Lance was such a special person. He loved the worship music and expressed his hallelujahs in his own special way. He brought tears of joy and admiration to my eyes when I saw him worshipping his Lord. I have no doubt that he RAN ON HIS OWN LEGS into the welcoming arms of Jesus! Praise God for Lance, and prayers for the family for comfort. Please know that your precious son was loved by many.

Hey Bro it was good seeing you at the service.
CJ and Cindy, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Lance was a beautiful soul. His smile was bigger than anything. I am confident that those that go to heaven or free of infirmity and stand tall with no pain. I believe those that go to heaven also watch over the rest of us until we make it there. I’m sure he’s found those that got to heaven before him and is sharing his balloons and beautiful smile with them. I love you both. Again I am so very sorry.
Thank You Sonja. It was great seeing all of you at the service. Thanks for the wonderful comments and for being there for us.
