Donna Meridith, 86, passed away June 28, 2021. She was born in Idlewild, Tennessee on April 5, 1935 to the late Robert Jeffrey Whittamore and Brooksie Mae Williams-Whittamore.
Donna enjoyed sewing. She will always be remembered for her spirit. Donna was the 4th oldest out of 21 children.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Brooksie Whittamore; and siblings Roy Williams, Eugene “Bud” Whittamore, Mary Ann Whittamore, William “Bill” Whittamore, Suzie Drennan, and Lionel “Butch” Whittamore.
Donna is survived by her children Rick Whitaker (Arran) and Jeff Crews (Christine); grandchildren Carmen Joslin, Nick Crews, Nate Crews, Wade Richards, Dillon Medlock, and Dayton Medlock; great-grandchildren Cason Joslin and Hadlee Crews; siblings Robert Whittamore and Claire “Pug” Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be July 1, 2021 at 2:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville. Funeral Service to follow at 3:00pm. Interment will be at Concord Cemetery in Furlow.

You were the best other mom a guy could want. For years you accepted me and always made me feel like I was one of your own. Your two sons are like brothers to me and we have the best memories. From Beebe Flea Market to dropping Ricky off in the kitchen floor drunk and running as fast as we could before you got out of the bed. You were fantastic and beautiful always. I miss every minute I spent as part of your family, and regret every minute that I missed. Though we’ve lost a mother, a friend, a confidant; heaven has gained a beautiful angel. We were lucky, we both had 2 sets of wonderful parents. You have been a dear friend to the family since day one. Mom knew you were there the other day and it meant a lot to all of us brother. Thank you!!!
