Michael T. Garner, 66, passed away June 1, 2021. He was born July 28, 1954 in Searcy, Arkansas to Thurman L. Garner and Rachel M. Vandiver.
Michael proudly served in the US Army. He enjoyed building and rebuilding cars, fishing, and hunting. Michael was just an all-around great guy and a friend to everyone. He loved spending time with his family most of all. Michael enjoyed watching TV- mostly car shows, MASH, and NCIS. He loved his dogs- Bear and Stella.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bob Lee Garner.
Michael leaves behind his brother Joe Garner (Tracy); sister-in-law Cheryl Garner; and nieces and nephews Jodi Haggard (Lonnie), Justin Garner, Jason Garner (Carrie), Zeb Garner (Carrie), Morgan Mead, and Jack Boyd.
Michael’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs Ford, LB, Christina, and Chasity.
Michael’s visitation will be Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 9:30am at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville. Funeral Service will follow at 10:30am. Interment will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock.

I sure wish we could of made it down to the lock and damn site just one more time! We sure burned up a lot of firewood and had many good laughs. I remember when we couldn’t wait to talk to old Stanford the lock operator! Cause that old guy could sure keep us laughing trading stories. I’ll never forget some of talks we had , I sure regret not coming to see U the last time u invited me over. It always seems like there is more time than what we are given. I’ll truly miss you Brother T , and I know lots of others feel the same way. U were one of kind a true friend. Thank u for letting me hangout with u! Knowing u was a blessing, RIP my friend.
